Control Charts II
Overview
Participant Profile: Employees involved in processes with time-ordered data who are interested in advanced control chart analysis for non-normal data. It is highly recommended that employees complete Control Charts I prior to participating in this session
Duration: 2-8 hours
Course Size: 8-12 participants
Course Description: Students will learn advanced techniques for analyzing non-normal time-ordered data using control charts. The course teaches students how to analyze data distribution, effectively transform non-normal data, and fit the data to the appropriate non-normal control chart. Course topics include Central Limit Theorem, distribution parameters and fit tests, Box Cox analysis, power and logarithmic transformations, and subgroup sampling.
Learning Objectives: Upon satisfactory completion, participants will:
-
- Analyze and determine the inherent distribution of data
- Perform transformations to normalize data where possible
- Create and interpret p, np, u, c, and X-bar r control charts
